About Me
My name is Caoilfhionn O’Donovan, a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist working with both adults and adolescents.
My approach is grounded, respectful and practical. I believe therapy works best when it feels collaborative, where we work through things together at your pace. I aim to help you make sense of what’s going on in your inner world and in your relationships, and to support you to make changes that feel meaningful and realistic in your day-to-day life.
I’ve experienced therapy myself at different stages of my life, and it shaped the way I work today. I know what it’s like to sit in the other chair- to feel nervous, unsure, or not know where to begin. Those experiences showed me that therapy can be steady and supportive, and that even small shifts can lead to real change.
That’s part of why I called my practice Mise Therapy. Mise means “me, myself” in Irish. It reflects the heart of the work- therapy begins with you: your story, your pace, and your way of making sense of things. From there, we work together to build understanding, reduce overwhelm, and create space for something new.
