Welcome to Mise Therapy. Choosing to begin therapy is a meaningful step, and it reflects a commitment to yourself and your well-being.

Mise means “me, myself” in Irish- because therapy starts with you, and the possibility of change, no matter where you are beginning from.

I’m Caoilfhionn O’Donovan, a counsellor and psychotherapist working with both adults and teenagers.

My approach is down-to-earth and practical. I provide a supportive space where you can make sense of your experiences, understand yourself more clearly, and explore new ways of creating change.

I work from an integrative, person-centred, and trauma-informed perspective, adapting my approach to each individual’s needs. My practice is neuroaffirmative, supporting clients with a wide range of experiences, including those who are autistic or have ADHD, in ways that are respectful, collaborative, and grounded in understanding.

Sessions are offered in person in Carrigaline and online.

    • BA (Hons) Counselling & Psychotherapy- Munster Technological University

    • Master’s in Public Health (Health Promotion)- University College Cork

    • Certificate in Integrative Psychotherapy for Adolescents

    • Pre-Accredited Member- Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP)

  • My work is integrative, humanistic and trauma-informed. I draw on Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, and person-centred therapy, and often use CBT and creative methods with adolescents.

  • Adults
Therapy is practical and flexible, shaped around what feels most useful for you. Sessions are in-person and paced according to your needs.

    Teenagers
Sessions are weekly and consistent. Parents attend briefly at the start to share background information and again for review, but ongoing therapy is one-to-one with the adolescent.
